I forgot to mention that my mom is amazing. Every time there's an election, she gets the kids in her class to vote on who they think should win. (George Washington does pretty well each time, considering. And my personal favorite was the kid who voted for George Tree. Bush just wasn't good enough!)
This year mom explained to the kids that it's not just as simple as who gets the most votes. And then she explained the electoral college to them! I mean, really, who else could teach five year olds about things that most adults can't grasp? My mom totally rocks!
